Now sending consumption summaries by email

posted Nov 16, 2010 2:51 AM by David Rodríguez   [ updated Nov 17, 2010 2:06 AM ]

New version 1.4 of Multidomo Metering has some awesome new features!

The more important feature is that Multidomo Metering can send reports by email; i.e. Metering can send energy cost summaries to Head of Finance or send automatically consumptions summaries to each tenant in a building.

Contents are grouped by building, area and kind of device, and filtered by measure of consumption:

Reporting is part of the Multidomo Metering core.

Now both Alerts system and Reports System may send emails using custom mail server, instead of using Multidomo mail Web Service. This will allow to send emails from the sender address configured. For easy setup, administrators can continue using Multidomo Web Service as before.

Now consumptions may be split into Device Families, giving more analysis details in reports and summaries. I.e. customer would like split Electricity consumption into Lighting, HVAC, Computers and Power. These Device Families are customizable by administrator.

Finally, now it is possible to hide the “Totals” charts and columns on variables you decide, while some variables, as Temperature, have no sense to be totalized.

Hager Australia will distribute Multidomo Metering

posted Jun 24, 2010 1:10 AM by David Rodríguez   [ updated Jun 24, 2010 1:17 AM ]

Hager B & R has added Multidomo Metering to its product catalog as a cornerstone in its solution for multi-site measuring consumption.

According to comments by Craig Chapman, Business Manager - Automation for Australia & New Zealand, "Multidomo Metering effectively satisfies the demand of our customers for consumption monitoring and measurement software."

So far the most significant project installation for Multidomo Metering in Australia is the centralized monitoring of electricity, gas, hot water, drinking water and rain water consumption data within 88 apartments spread over six buildings. Hager’s Tebis KNX equipment is used to capture the apartment consumption data via pulse counters and then aggregate the data back to the Multidomo Metering server on-site. Tenants have access to see their consumption data via the Internet and to compare their consumption against the average consumption of same size apartments within the development.

These apartment buildings are owned by the New South Wales Department of Housing and this development is a landmark 5 star, Greenstar rated site.

Hager B&R is a successful joint venture partnership between B&R Enclosures, Australia's largest electrical enclosure manufacturer and Hager, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of modular electrical devices.

New release Multidomo Metering Standard 1.3

posted Jun 8, 2010 8:42 AM by David Rodríguez

The new version 1.3 of Multidomo Metering Standard includes improvements and new features.

Among the improvements should be noted that the graphic display in the Manager is 500% faster than previous versions, especially selecting long periods of time. This is because it includes improvements already developed for the Enterprise Edition, to consolidate daily, monthly and yearly providing better performance for chart representation.

It has also changed the chart window that incorporates several new graphics:

Average Chart: Average, maximum and minimum daily of period selected.

Total Chart: Total accrued daily of period selected.

Chart Today: Actual data for the current day.

Month Chart: Daily average of the days passed the current month.

Annual Chart: Monthly average months of this year.

Another improvement is that it unifies database and monitoring services of the two Metering editions, allowing transition from Standard to Enterprise version simply by installing web applications Manager and Viewer. It will automatically keep the data already collected and processed during the Standard edition.

This allows start a pilot project with a customer's facility or office and grow as needs.

New features:

  • New service for data warehouse.
  • New charts.
  • Compatible with Metering Multidomo Enterprise

New Multidomo Metering Enterprise Edition allows you to centralize the consumption of multiple buildings on a single tool

posted May 11, 2010 5:49 AM by David Rodríguez

Until now the Standard Edition of Multidomo Metering permitted to monitor a single location, the great novelty of this new edition is that it allows you to centralize consumption information (electricity, gas, water) as well as air quality (CO2) from different buildings of one owner.

In this way Multidomo Metering helps building managers make decisions on cost and consumption and design appropriate policies for savings.

It also facilitates the certification of buildings, fulfilling the requirement to maintain a history of the consumption of electricity, gas and water as well as the quality of the air and temperatures.

Communication with the buildings through the corresponding automation system's IP gateway. Multidomo Metering Enterprise is installed on a centralized server of the customer. No need to install or maintain any software on the buildings. Even each building can be implemented with different automation systems (for example an owner can have multiple buildings with KNX and others with LON).

This edition of Metering is based on web applications, to facilitate user access to the information and graphics.

Another new feature is it has a user Manager, allowing grant access to each user on an area, for example his apartment, and he can even compare with the average in the rest of their neighbours with an apartment of the same size.

If implemented in a chain of shops or restaurants, for example, each store manager could see the consumption of his shop, compare with history or even compare with the average of other stores.

New features:

  • Multi-location (buildings)
  • Management of users, permissions for administrators, integrators and users.
  • Client Application are Web applications.
  • Auto average totals, max and min cumulative, daily, monthly and annual.
  • Comparison with averages by area.
